A recent poll was carried out in the neighbouring village, South Kyme.
A small questionnaire was delivered by hand to 165 houses. There were 29 responses. Nearly 60% of the replies were against the building of this proposed windfarm. I presume that the residents in the other 136 houses just don't care. No doubt they'd be the first to complain when/if the 30 tubines are erected. At least you have a few South Kyme supporters East Heckington.

A rather belated reply but thanks for your contribution!

There are a couple of interesting articles from the Daily Telegrah. go to www. telegraph.co.uk and in the search panel enter WINDFARM NOISE and that should call up a couple of recent articles.

I have just come back from visiting the wind farm at Bicker and I can tell you categorically there is noise.

I have seen a lot of comments by various people, including the electric companies, saying that noise is no problem but if I were in my garden in today's conditions I would be aggravated to say the least.

I heard noise and I did not like it

Gives an idea of the exrent of the foundaions needed for a wind turbine: This was from USA

It might be of interest to note that above the foundations the turbines will be twice as high as Nelson's Column give or take about 2 metres
